Target offering more Gingerbread holiday fun…
Target keeps putting out more Gingerbread holiday items. I know we went down these isles before so they must be putting things out as they come in. Before we had found the little Gingerbread houses as well Gingerbread Women and Man on trays (Gingerbread sightings at Target, big find!)… now we find these cute little stuffed patchwork Gingerbread folks. Sorry the picture isn’t as clear as the shots we took earlier, the area was a mob of folks grabbing up things so supplies might be short this year if you wait very long.
Speaking of ‘short in supply’, last year we complained that everyone’s Gingerbread wrapping paper went out of stock way before wrapping time. We were overjoyed to see a nice supply in Target’s paper area this year… needless to say, we stocked up. We have a chance over the weekend, we’ll pull out the scraps from last year to let you know if the pattern has changed for this year.
Gingerbread sightings at Target, big find!
It’s the time of year we are looking in every corner of any store we go into to find out loved Gingerbread items. Target didn’t let us down in their ornament area!
Houses! Gingerbread Women and Men on baking sheets… all too cute! She has a extra little gingerbread heart on the pan with her and him a colorful star.
We looked online and we couldn’t find them at the Target site so these may be in-store available only. Fingers crossed for you that your local store carries these this year.

Vintage Teacup Gingerbread House Worlds
Here is a great way to use up your dinged and chipped teacups and what a better way to recycle and repurpose your vintage and flea market teacups. You can create your own Gingerbread Christmas scene or as Mimi Kirchner, the individual that created the ones pictured here calls them “Gingerbread House Tiny Worlds”. I could not find a pattern (so these might not be simple to create) but someone with some crafting and sewing skills could probably make one in a couple hours. Just think, a Gingerbread House Tiny World in a heirloom vintage teacup would make such a thoughtful handmade Christmas gift and would make an amazing hostess gift especially if you know the hostess’s china pattern of choice and create a Gingerbread Tiny World for her in that her own china pattern. Charming and sweet!!
