Target offering more Gingerbread holiday fun…

Target keeps putting out more Gingerbread holiday items. I know we went down these isles before so they must be putting things out as they come in. Before we had found the little Gingerbread houses as well Gingerbread Women and Man on trays (Gingerbread sightings at Target, big find!)… now we find these cute little stuffed patchwork Gingerbread folks. Sorry the picture isn’t as clear as the shots we took earlier, the area was a mob of folks grabbing up things so supplies might be short this year if you wait very long.

Speaking of ‘short in supply’, last year we complained that everyone’s Gingerbread wrapping paper went out of stock way before wrapping time. We were overjoyed to see a nice supply in Target’s paper area this year… needless to say, we stocked up. We have a chance over the weekend, we’ll pull out the scraps from last year to let you know if the pattern has changed for this year.

Gingerbread House Lighted Cupcake Christmas Decoration

This is a gorgeous Gingerbread cupcake creation by Kurt Adler and part of the Gingerbread Kisses Collection. This Gingerbread cupcake house is decorated with lots of pink frosting and sprinkles, candy cane accents, star no top and wreath on door. Gingerbread cupcake house is detailed with LED lights and the entire piece glows like sugar crystals. Would make a wonderful gift or holiday decoration.  Please visit here for details.

Gingerbread sightings at Target, big find!

It’s the time of year we are looking in every corner of any store we go into to find out loved Gingerbread items. Target didn’t let us down in their ornament area!

Houses! Gingerbread Women and Men on baking sheets… all too cute! She has a extra little gingerbread heart on the pan with her and him a colorful star.

We looked online and we couldn’t find them at the Target site so these may be in-store available only. Fingers crossed for you that your local store carries these this year.

Happy Halloween – Mens Shrek Gingerbread Warrior Costume

From Linens ‘n Things comes the Gingerbread Warrior is part of a band of warriors lead by the ogre Fiona. The Men’s Shrek Gingerbread Warrior Costume features a jumpsuit with printed warrior details including a twizzler belt with a gumdrop medallion, chocolate panels, and chocolate royal icing details. The headpiece has the Gingerbread Man making a mean face. There is a hole in the Gingerbread Man’s mouth that you can see out of. Make the Men’s Shrek Gingerbread Warrior Costume your Halloween costume this year. It’s also a great costume to wear as part of a group with all of your friends dressing as other Shrek characters. The lollipop weapon too.

Using a Gingerbread ornament as a pattern for a full size kids play house

I was over on Instructables today. They have a variety of fun Gingerbread cookies and houses that people show how they did the assembly. It’s a great place to see folks being very creative. They are creative both in design and materials used.

Just recently, a post appeared where an individual made a full size kids play house, using a Gingerbread House ornament as the starting point. The group of pictures outlining the steps from ornament to play house make it look easy enough to give it a try. It might be a good idea to draw the little ornament on a piece of grid paper and then redraw on a large grid… or use the company copy machine in magnify mode to bump the little ornament to the size kids will fit in. Most important, it looks like a lot of fun for us… and the kids.
